Hard Candy Cakes with Added Protein
Use this recipe for candy boards or candy cakes when a protein supplement is desired.
|For 4% Protein Content (makes 10.5 lbs)||For 8% Protein Content (makes 11.5 lbs)|
|7 lbs sugar||7 lbs sugar|
|1.5 lbs corn syrup (or honey or heavy syrup)||1.5 lbs corn syrup (or honey or heavy syrup)|
|1 lbs water||1 lbs water|
|1 lbs pollen substitute||2 lbs pollen substitute|
Bring sugar, water, and corn syrup to a boil and stir until syrup reaches 265° F. Turn off heat and immediately add powdered pollen supplement using a whisk. Quickly pour the mixture into a candy board or other mold and allow it to cool.
